Mirroslava does well at school and will be starting third grade this autumn. The girl has many friends and interests. She happily attends music school and goes to classes at a community arts center, where she takes part in groups for artistic ceramics, beadwork, and English language. Her life is full of bright events, new experiences, and dreams. But unfortunately, not only joyful moments. For more than half of her life, Mirra has endured painful injections every day, as she has type 1 diabetes. Day by day she gradually learns to manage her illness and take responsible care of her health. Her large family helps and supports her in everything.
Mirroslava knows how to measure her blood sugar with a glucometer following all the proper rules, knows what to do when her blood sugar is low, and understands the need for constant monitoring.
To make their daughter's life easier, her parents are looking for ways to provide Mirroslava with continuous glucose monitoring sensors. These significantly reduce the frequency of painful finger pricks. The app sends an alert when blood sugar rises or drops, making it possible to take action in time. This ensures better management and prevents the development of complications. It is a convenient and modern method of measuring blood sugar – but unfortunately, for a large family, such an expensive diabetes management tool remains out of reach.
Despite her persistence, strength, and resilience, Mirroslava wants to have an ordinary childhood without pain, without fear, and without constant restrictions. We can help make the life of this girl with diabetes easier and more carefree by providing her with sensors.
