Even before Ivanka was born, her parents were told that their daughter would be born with developmental differences. And so it was: when the girl was 2 months old, she was diagnosed with congenital microcephaly, motor resistance syndrome, and spastic tetraparesis, and Ivanna was assigned a disability status (subgroup A). Later – at the age of 3 – episyndrome was added to all of this.
Naturally, the girl began taking medications and receiving treatment.
Ivanna is now 11 years old. She still cannot walk, sit, crawl, or stand, holds her head poorly, cannot speak fully, only partially understands spoken language, and cannot chew. She has been diagnosed with a congenital brain developmental defect, spastic quadriplegia (the most severe form of cerebral palsy, in which the functioning of both arms and both legs is impaired), localized symptomatic epilepsy, third-degree hearing impairment, and dislocation of the left hip joint. Systematic treatment at rehabilitation centers is indicated for Ivanna.
"Our daughter takes medications on an ongoing basis, works with specialists, and undergoes examinations. We have not lost hope and we keep working, but right now we are experiencing financial exhaustion," says the girl's mother, asking for help with future treatment.
Ivanna needs to go to rehabilitation again, and so we are asking for support for our project and the chance to give her access to treatment. Please join in helping this girl!
