Ten-year-old Edit needs funds for a new rehabilitation course – to continue gaining new skills and moving toward independence.

Edit was born in January 2016 – her arrival into the world was very difficult, and from the very first days it became clear that something was wrong. The girl cried constantly, barely slept, and could not feed. A month after being discharged, her condition deteriorated sharply: one night Edit was admitted to intensive care, and by morning her heart stopped. More than three minutes without a heartbeat. Eight days of critical condition. Three weeks in intensive care. The doctors fought, her mother prayed – and Edit was given a second chance.

The consequences proved serious: episyndrome, developmental delay, and at one year old – a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. The girl could not roll over, sit, or stand. But she did not give up.

Years of rehabilitation changed everything: the girl began to sit, stand up, and take her first steps. She became more attentive, focused, communicative, and curious. Behind each of these achievements lie years of persistent effort and an unbreakable spirit.
