Anastasia-Maria is currently in third grade: she diligently does her homework and takes additional English lessons. She cares for her beloved pets – cats Murchyk, Pushka, and Simba – feeding and playing with them. She also enjoys drawing and is learning to play the violin. Studying at music school and going to the swimming pool are real pleasures for a child with a serious illness.

The girl's life changed a year and a half ago. And, unfortunately, it changed forever. Doctors gave Ani a serious diagnosis – type 1 diabetes. The little girl went through treatment, stress, complications, and is still learning to live with this disease. Although Anastasia-Maria tries to follow her diet and doctors' recommendations, her blood sugar levels are often unstable. The girl eats a special diet. It is difficult for her to give up her favorite foods, but her mother explains why it is necessary.

The girl's mother works hard and tries to provide her daughter with continuous glucose monitoring sensors so that she can monitor her sugar levels even from a distance. However, this is not always possible. Most of the time, Anastasia-Maria monitors her sugar levels herself. Her mother works far from home, and they only communicate by phone during the day. All decisions about what dose of insulin to administer, what the pause will be, when it's time to eat, are made together over the phone.

Although Anastasia-Maria can see all the fluctuations in her sugar levels and is learning to be responsible for her health, it is difficult for her to live without round-the-clock monitoring. Her mother, Nadiya, is asking for help because she cannot cope with all the financial costs of Anastasia's treatment on her own, in particular the purchase of sensors.
