Donor blood saves lives!

The Kirovohrad Blood Transfusion Station provides services to provide the children and adults of the city, region and border areas with donor blood components. The enterprise attracts and trains donor staff, provides their medical examination, procurement, processing, quality control and storage of donor blood and its components. The enterprise is the only one in the region that provides health care facilities with donor blood and its components free of charge. 30,000 people received assistance for 2022.

Currently, there is an increased need for the procurement of blood components for children living in the city of Kropyvnytskyi and immigrants from the occupied territories who have various acute, chronic, oncohematological diseases. For this, a refrigerated centrifuge is needed to separate blood components.

Also, if necessary, this centrifuge can provide the collection of donor blood and its components for the treatment of wounded military and civilian persons. The centrifuges currently available at the Center are technically outdated and require constant repair.

Donor blood is an important resource that can save many human lives.
