Help for Nazariy – rehabilitation

Dear donors, do you remember Nazariy, the boy who suffered asphyxiation at birth due to the umbilical cord wrapping, cardiac and respiratory arrest, brain swelling, seizures, resuscitation and medication sleep? A boy who, after birth, spent another 2 weeks in the intensive care unit instead of in his mother's warm arms, and then more than a month in the neonatal pathology department instead of a cozy home.

Then came feeding tubes, numerous drips, tests, anticonvulsant therapy – everything to stabilize Nazariy's condition. At three months old, the boy had his first rehabilitation, and at seven months old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, delayed statokinetic development, and general underdevelopment of speech. The baby's body was constrained by severe spasticity and dystonic attacks. It seemed to his mother that it was the most difficult period of their lives.

Now Nazariy is 8 years old, and all this time he has been fighting for a full life. He is a very cheerful, intelligent and positive child. Despite this, he still does not sit, walk, or talk on his own, has sensory impairments, gross and fine motor skills, and needs constant adult supervision.

"My biggest dream is to see him on his own. I want him to play with his peers instead of watching them sitting in a wheelchair. Please help us in the fight for a happy childhood for our son," says Nazariy's mother.
