Nine-year-old Veronika is a very kind and talented girl. Since childhood, she has been very sociable, creative and cheerful. In kindergarten, she tried to be the first in everything, and she was very good at it. At all the holidays in the kindergarten, she was assigned the main roles where she could show herself well. Even the teachers saw in her that enthusiasm and perseverance to learn new things. From preschool, she became interested in karate, where she had good results. When she started school, she was even more eager to learn and experience something new.

But at the beginning of her second year at school, Veronika became lethargic, pale and started drinking a lot of fluids, which worried her parents. They went to the doctor for a consultation and after passing all the necessary tests, they heard the disappointing diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. What to do and how to proceed was unclear... But from the very first days, seven-year-old Veronika learned to inject insulin on her own. She is very responsible for all the doctors' recommendations and always tries to control her blood sugar. Every day, Veronika has to have a balanced diet, a sufficient amount of physical activity and sleep - this is very important for diabetes to avoid "sugar spikes".

For the past two years, all of the girl's breakfasts, lunches, and dinners have been under total control and with insulin injections, which need to be done 4 times a day. To keep blood sugar levels within normal limits, blood sugar sensors play a very important role. Without them, it is extremely difficult for a child to do this, because measuring with glucometers requires multiple additional punctures of children's fingers. Unfortunately, the sensors cost a lot of money. Veronika's parents are unable to provide her with sensors and are hoping for help.
