Aid to hospitals in Sloviansk

Starting from April 2014, Sloviansk (Donetsk region) became an arena of hostilities in connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation. Currently, to the front line is close to the city and the city is under fire, local residents are suffering. The goal of this project is to provide two hospitals of the city with the necessary medical equipment to provide high-quality qualified medical care. For security reasons, we cannot specify the full names of these hospitals, but dozens of Ukrainians are treated here every day.

We plan to purchase a defibrillator and 5 beds for a hospital that provides medical care to city residents, internally displaced persons, and military personnel. The hospital has 50 beds in two intensive care units, but only one defibrillator. There are also simple beds, but they must be functional, because they are designed specifically for patients and to provide the necessary medical assistance. Before the full-scale invasion, the facility received 2,500 a year in aid.

In the second hospital, we plan to purchase 2 audiometers for diagnosing the hearing of newborns. During 2022, the facility continuously provided medical care to community residents and military personnel, and even delivered births. At the beginning of the military aggression by the Russian Federation, the perinatal center in the Kramatorsk was closed, the maternity ward in the Lyman was destroyed, therefore obstetric and gynecological care is provided to women in this hospital. Currently, the hospital does not have any audiometer for diagnosing the hearing of newborns, but this equipment is extremely necessary, since there were cases when mothers were discharged together with babies, and three years later it turned out that the child could not hear, and had not heard since birth, and time was lost. In 2022, the hospital received 224 births, and a month about 100 children will receive the necessary medical assistance of any kind.
