The war in Ukraine continues. It has changed the lives of each of us. For many, unfortunately, these changes have become too radical and irreversible – a large number of our soldiers have given their lives for our freedom, for us to be able to continue living on our native land. Also, many of our Heroes are considered missing. Most of them have families here with us: elderly mothers and fathers, wives and young children. It is our sacred duty to support them now, in the most difficult times of their lives, when they are left without the support of their dearest person and, often, alone with a mountain of problems and the burden of enormous trauma and grief, alone with their problems and difficulties.

Of course, the whole society sympathizes and expresses regret for their loss, but there are few people who help these families cope with their daily problems and, having provided some material assistance, do not step aside and move on, but stay close by, helping them solve various social and domestic problems related to children, elderly parents, basic survival issues, and interaction with state institutions. Another crucial issue is the experience of loss and trauma, and at this time, a qualified psychologist is essential.

For many years, the Pax et Bonum Charitable Foundation has been helping and supporting the most needy of our fellow citizens – children from the poorest families, the elderly, lonely and sick people, and now, for 1.5 years, we have been actively helping the families of our fallen and missing defenders and people who, fleeing from the bombing and saving their lives, found themselves in our region as internally displaced persons. We also continue to support and help IDP families in every way possible with the most basic needs and with adaptation and integration into new conditions. All of these people, including young children, have witnessed traumatic events, survived violence, lost all their property and are now trying to survive and cope with everyday problems with a minimum of belongings and several young children in their arms. All of these people are also in dire need of the help of a social worker and psychologist.

We can provide about 25 families of the victims with all the necessary assistance, including full social support and qualified psychological assistance, but we are faced with the problem of lack of funds to pay for the salaries of the specialists involved, who will work with the families of the Heroes and IDPs 24/7 for three months. With the help of those who care, we plan to raise the necessary amount and help our wards efficiently, quickly and effectively, as well as teach them how to cope on their own and cope in the future.

We invite you to join our common cause to help the families of the Heroes and those who suffered the most as a result of the war.

Let's do good together! These people really need our support.
