Help yourself – support loved ones
People who care for their loved ones with chronic mental disorders often do not have enough information. They do not understand the essence of the disease, which they and their relatives have rights. They are also deprived of psychological support. Often, in order to pay more attention to their relatives, they are forced to leave their jobs or have an irregular schedule.
This leads to emotional burnout. As a result, the person himself has a depressed psychological state. He is left alone with difficulties and cannot provide the necessary support to his family. This situation is exacerbated by stigma and shame. The difficulties associated with the disease often remain a mystery and there is no one to share and support with.
The course for people who care for their loved ones with mental disorders will provide an opportunity to receive support and a plan of action. Course participants will attend online classes for two months to receive:
- information on mental health recovery = no one is to blame and what can be done;
- action plan – how to help yourself and your loved one;
- a supportive environment for people who are going through the same difficulties;
- psychological support.
This will allow you to take concrete steps to support your loved one without harming yourself. Without guilt and despair. And with an understanding of what actions depend on you, where you can go and how to stay close to the person you care about.
Thank you for changing your mental health attitude with us.
