Let’s help Davyd to breathe freely!
What does a would-be mother dream of? How will her child grow up, make his/her first steps, say his/her first words…about first walks and moments of joy. The mother Alina and the father Ivan grew up in a large family and, obviously, decided to unite their hearts with the children’s laughter just after the wedding. But, unfortunately, Davyd’s birth made them upset and surprised. The physicians were clueless of what to do and tried to make him breathe with no outside help all for naught.
The diagnosis of a bilateral diaphragmatic paralysis sounded as a verdict. The paralysis makes the unassisted breathing impossible. Davyd has been living in a hospital under artificial respiration for six month. The parents, who care of him by turn in the daytime and at night, are tired due to continuous lack of sleep and anxiety. There is a pulse oximeter for such cases, a kind of artificial child nurse, which provides for a continuous monitoring of vital signs of a child and, in case of a threat, produces an immediate alarm to inform the parents of the need.
The mother had a dream where she was hugging her child on a meadow without being afraid of damaging the network of multiple cords and wires on a child’s body. Davyd was running between the mountains, enjoying the pure Carpathian air. Alina says her son is the best son ever! The medical specialists recommend parents to purchase such a pulse oximeter, since it will help Davyd to live up to an important surgery!
Let’s help Davyd breathe freely.
