Help little Dmytro stand on his feet

The long-expected pregnancy was fine, the ultrasound didn’t show any abnormalities, but on the 7th month I suddenly went into premature birth. Then – two months in intensive care, a lot of medicines and when Dima was 9 months old he was diagnosed with cerebral paralysis with developmental delay, as well as a double strabism and atrophied optic nerves.The rehabilitation course is required like an oxygen. It is another Dima’s step to normal life, a great chance to learn how to take care of himself and even stand on its feet! But it is possible only on condition that we will not discontinue the rehabilitation courses.

Doctors predicted that Dima would have a plant-like life, but now he is already five and he has achieved a lot: he crawls on his back, he tries to go (unfortunately, only by his hands and does not stand on his right foot completely), plays with toys, but the right arm does not work very well so far. He says a lot of words, almost sits, knows letters, can count up to 30!After the rehabilitation course in hospital Dima has learnt to turn and sit.

It is possible to decrease the consequences of cerebral palsy, but we’ll need years for this. Dima has a chance to learn to take care of himself and may be even to get to his feet!!It became even more difficult to collect money for his treatment, as the war made the family leave their native city Donetsk and they were deprived of home and job...
