Let's help Yaroslav get treatment
Yaroslav is a very courageous child. He has been suffering from diabetes since the age of seven. The first year with this disease was the hardest. Yaroslav was very afraid of injections, but he wanted to go to school to his favorite class. To do this, his mother had to be with him at school almost all the time so that he could study. But eventually he overcame his fear and started giving injections on his own.
For a whole year, Yaroslav and his mother learned how to live with diabetes, studied literature, talked to other families with children with the same diagnosis, and kept a diary. The mother did everything in her power for the child. She devoted all her strength and resources to her son. But still, everything was very bad, the sugar level was jumping, and no compensation could be achieved. Then the mother asked the doctors to change the insulin. Again, they studied the body and its reaction to the new insulin. And finally, good “sugars”.
In order to compensate for blood sugar, the family gradually began to raise money for an insulin pump, because its cost is considerable for an ordinary family. After saving up the money, the child received an insulin pump from his family for his birthday. His joy was boundless.
But the war and constant stresses again made their own adjustments. Yaroslav began to eat food, forgetting to take his injections. For the first time in 4 years, the boy was hospitalized in serious condition. Resuscitation and drips helped to restore Yaroslav's condition. But during the next examination, doctors found a deterioration in his vision. Then he had to undergo 3 months of treatment at the ophthalmologist and wear glasses all the time.
The war was very close. The family made attempts to move to a safer area, but the lack of work and the high cost of renting a house forced the family to return home. Yaroslav was again hospitalized in serious condition. Again, he was put into intensive care and given intravenous drips to restore his sugar and stabilize his blood pressure.
Now Yaroslav needs to strictly adhere to his treatment, and to live a normal life he needs to control the manifestations of the disease. And this requires constant monitoring and compensation of diabetes, insulin injections and a diary to manage diabetes. After all, achieving controlled diabetes is the key to a quality and long life.
The family cannot cope with the financial burden of Yaroslav's treatment on their own, so they are asking for help.
