The goal of the project was to raise money for the treatment of Masalitina Marina, who is a patient of the neurosurgery department of the OKHMATDYT hospital.
The girl was born in August 2024 along with her twin sister. The girls were born a little prematurely, but the parents immediately noticed that one of the daughters had an irregular head shape, and one eye was located lower than the other.
At first, doctors hoped that this would correct itself over time, but the deformity only worsened. At 5 months, a CT scan confirmed the diagnosis: craniosynostosis (frontal plagiocephaly). Now the baby needed urgent surgery. If the operation is not performed in time, Marinka may develop severe facial deformity, headaches, visual impairment, and developmental delay.
Thanks to the funds raised, the operation was performed on time, and the doctors reported that the defect was corrected. Now Marinka is regaining strength and gaining weight.
The necessary materials were received under expenditure order No. 0021 dated 03/31/2025
