She looks away from a photographic lens because in her 16 years of age she has nothing to show off. Her lips are blue and it’s hard to speak for her because of stomatitis. Quickly she puts on a hat to look better at least this way. Vika is beautiful as a model but now she is at the hospital with the diagnosis of leukemia. The girl couldn’t imagine that she would celebrate her 16th birthday at the hospital. However, when she shared her dreams, indeed some of them come true at the hospital. It gave the girl strength to fight for her life.

She really wanted to learn to play the guitar. And how happy she was when the philanthropists gave her the guitar and the first music lessons. Unfortunately, it’s hard for her to play because her fingers hurt from constant medical tests. Her dream to visit Japan has been realized visually. The volunteers shared photos and impressions of Japan and brought her a gift: a special Japanese bag full of wishes that only Vika can know. In the end, there was a dinner with traditional Asian cuisine that Vika shared with other kids at the hospital.

But high dose chemotherapy takes away all the strength. Every time the girl’s body is affected by serious infections with severe pain syndrome (bacterial and fungal lesions, stomatitis and the digestive system disorders). She regularly takes antibiotics and antifungal drugs. Accordingly, the immune system is weakened and suffering. The immune system cannot cope on its own. That’s why the girl needs the Bioven Mono medicine. It works like an artificial immune system that helps the body fight. Unfortunately, the department ran out of its supplies and there were no more drugs from the state procurement.

A year ago the family became larger as Vika’s little brother Nazarchyk was born. It’s hard for parents, especially for the mother, not to see how their child is growing but it is essential to be there for their daughter. The parents are ordinary workers who never complain about problems but overcome them. And now they ask for a helping hand because they cannot cope on their own.

The therapy cannot be interrupted, it’s about life!
