Tetiana Olexandrivna has been suffering from cancer since 2014. During this time, the seemingly simple melanoma turned into a life-threatening tumor with metastases to the liver. To date, Tatiana has undergone two surgeries to remove melanoma and affected lymph nodes. But the disease does not recede.

Thus, after surgery in 2021, the cancer metastasized to the liver. This is already very dangerous. A great chance for a woman is a course of treatment with the expensive drug Zelboraf. The course of treatment is long, from one year onwards according to the results of the examination. The cost of one month of treatment is up to UAH 100,000. These are extraordinary funds for a rural family. Hearing about such a sum, the first thing that came to Tatiana's mind was complete confusion. After all, the chemotherapy she had hoped for and which would have been financially viable for her family had not been effective for her illness. Because her melanoma turned out to be a brammutation and is very aggressive.

This woman's desire for life is impressive. Zelboraf's targeted therapy did not start immediately because the family needed to find funds. They turned for help to friends, relatives, acquaintances, to the City Health Department. Unbelievable, but they managed to get some money from the village council, the regional state administration, from the local deputy. And thanks to this help and support, as well as her own savings, Tatiana has been treated for 5 months. And the treatment gives a positive result!

This drug is not on the list of free medicines, which upsets a woman very much. So there is a struggle not only for health, but also for the process of raising funds.
