From birth, Zlata was a very restless child: she cried often and fell ill quite regularly. At the age of two, the girl was hospitalised, and there her parents heard the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. Since then, from her earliest childhood, her body has needed special attention, monitoring and care every single day. For ten years now, Zlata has been living with difficult trials, type 1 diabetes and an allergic form of asthma.
In addition to the main diagnoses, the girl often faces concomitant complications that make her condition even more vulnerable. That is why round-the-clock blood sugar control is vital for Zlata.
Continuous monitoring sensors help her parents respond to any changes in time and prevent dangerous conditions. They give the girl a chance for a calmer, safer and more ordinary childhood, as much as that is possible in her situation.
But, unfortunately, the constant costs of treatment, medication and sensors are too great a financial burden for the family. The parents do everything they can, but coping on their own is becoming increasingly difficult. That is why they are asking for support and help.
Every contribution is not just help. It is an opportunity for Zlata to live without constant fear for her life. It is another night of peaceful sleep. It is another day of childhood.
