The first night of his life, little Kolya spent with his mother in the ward, but by morning he stopped breathing and began to turn blue, the baby began to have convulsions. The boy was taken to intensive care, where he spent 10 days. His condition was serious, but the courageous Mykola began to breathe on his own, and he was disconnected from the ventilator. After that, the boy was transferred to the pathology department, where he stayed for another month.

It was the most difficult month of his life. The baby was tube-fed, but every day my mother tried to teach her son to eat from a bottle, and she succeeded. However, the seizures did not disappear. When Kolya was one month old, he was diagnosed with epilepsy and developmental delay. Then already the boy had up to 100 convulsive attacks a day, the child lived in constant pain. And at the age of 2, Kolya was also diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Now Mykola is 15 years old, and all this time he has been working with rehabilitation specialists, psychologists, exercise therapy instructors and speech therapists, systematically visited rehabilitation centers and conscientiously followed all the instructions of doctors. However, in February, due to the outbreak of a large-scale war and strong explosions, it was decided to go from Kyiv to her grandmother in the village, there was nothing to talk about rehabilitation – Kolya worked at home. However, now that the family has returned to Kyiv, it has become clear that Mykola's condition has worsened: due to a strong growth spurt, scoliosis has worsened and spasticity has increased, which brings pain and limits movement.

Dear donors, Kolya really needs rehabilitation, help him get rid of unbearable pain and move freely!
