Let's help Herman hear and win

In March 2025, the project “Let’s Help German Hear and Win” was posted on the website of the “UBB International Foundation” dobro.ua, the purpose of which was to raise funds to pay for hearing aids for Lozhkin German (diagnosis – bilateral chronic sensorineural hearing loss of the 4th degree) in the amount of 115,000.00 hryvnias.

In July, the fundraising was completed, and on July 25 we paid for the devices. However, the mother and the boy were only able to get to the doctor’s appointment on August 26 due to family circumstances. We are very glad that we managed to provide German with hearing aids right before the start of the school year, which will significantly improve the learning and development process for the boy!

Bilateral sensorineural hearing loss of the 4th degree is the most severe degree of hearing loss, when a person practically does not perceive speech at a normal distance, even loud ones.

Without special means of compensation, the child:

almost does not hear the voices of parents and teachers;
lags behind in speech development, which complicates communication with peers;
faces difficulties in learning, socialization and even safety (does not hear danger signals).
Modern digital devices give Herman a chance to hear the world around him, better perceive the school curriculum, coaching instructions and develop speech. This is critically important for his education, socialization and confident movement towards achievements in sports.
