Let's help Eva recover

On January 16, 2026, the project “Let's Help Eva Recover” was posted on the platform of the International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’ dobro.ua for a total amount of UAH 350,500.00 for the treatment of Moisey Eva at the National Children's Specialized Hospital “OKHMATDIT.” The goal of the project was to raise funds for a girl with a complex diagnosis: “Non-traumatic intracranial hemorrhage. Occlusive hydrocephalus (implantation of an Omayya reservoir on the right side). Ventriculo-subgalleostomy on the right side.” This condition posed a direct threat to the child's life and required surgery on the brain. To save Eva, on January 28, 2026, doctors performed a complex neurosurgical procedure to remove excess fluid from the brain and reduce dangerous intracranial pressure. Eva is currently under medical supervision and recovering from surgery.

Specialized consumables were used during the operation:

The Strata valve is a special programmable valve that regulates the amount of fluid drained from the brain. It allows doctors to control pressure and prevent both excessive fluid accumulation and excessive fluid outflow. This is critical for the child's stable condition.
A set of antibiotic-impregnated ventricular catheters are placed in the ventricles of the brain to drain excess fluid. The antibiotic coating reduces the risk of infections, which can be particularly dangerous after neurosurgery.
Stylet (23 cm) - used for accurate and safe insertion of the catheter into the desired area of the brain. It helps the doctor to install the system as accurately as possible.
Patient tracker (non-invasive) - helps the computer system determine the exact position of the child's head so that the surgeon can work with maximum accuracy and safety.
Tracer - helps the doctor navigate during surgery and accurately determine the direction and depth of instrument insertion.
Navigation probe-tracer - used in conjunction with computer navigation to accurately identify the anatomical structures of the brain, minimizing risks and increasing the safety of the operation.
Ventricular reservoir, lower inlet, 12 mm with ventricular catheter, small, 23 cm - a special device that allows fluid to be drained from the brain, as well as, if necessary, to administer medication or take samples for analysis without repeat operations.

These consumables are critically important in performing complex neurosurgical operations that saved Eva's life.
