At birth, little Maksym was not breathing. Doctors saved his life in the intensive care unit and, fortunately, the boy survived. However, Maksym's brain was severely damaged... He was connected to a ventilator for 10 days, and as soon as his condition was stabilized, he and his mother were discharged home.

The peace of the young family did not last long – on the 6th day Maksym was taken to the hospital again. Then the doctors diagnosed the boy with microcephaly, symptomatic epilepsy with frequent polymorphic seizures, hypoxic-ischemic CNS damage, gross spastic tetraparesis, and delayed psycho-speech development. On that day, his life changed forever – the fight for his health began.

In his almost 2 years of life, Maksym has undergone more than one course of treatment, which is already bearing fruit: the boy's spasticity has decreased, he has started babbling better and has become more physically active, he holds his head better and shows emotions.

Maksym has a new rehabilitation course ahead of him, and that's why we ask you to support him. Thanks to your donations and support, he will be able to go for this important treatment. Shall we help him with this?
