Adrian is the third child in a family from Rivne region. He is now 14 years old. He is an active, sincere boy who loves soccer. Training, matches, friends – that's his life.
But for two years now, he has been living with type 1 diabetes. Every day, Adrian has to prick his fingers up to 20 times, and sometimes even more, to measure his blood sugar level. His fingers are constantly bruised and sore.
Every training session is a source of anxiety: will his sugar level drop? Will he feel sick on the field? Every night is a night of monitoring and fear of missing a dangerous drop in glucose.
A continuous glucose monitoring sensor can make his life easier by constantly monitoring his sugar levels. It is a small sensor that attaches to the arm and shows sugar levels 24/7 without constant finger pricks. The sensor means less pain and more safety, peaceful nights, and the ability to play sports without constant fear.
Unfortunately, the sensors need to be purchased regularly, which is a significant financial burden for the family.
The family is asking for support for Adrian from caring people. Every hryvnia is a step towards a life without daily pain. Every donation is a chance for the boy to continue playing his favorite sport, soccer, and simply be a teenager.
Please help Adrian!
