Help the home for orphans. 4

For more than ten years, an institution for the social and psychological rehabilitation of children in difficult life circumstances – the Home of Happy Children, has been working in Kiev. It is focused on round-the-clock living at the same time 30 minors aged from 3 to 15 years. They all went through a difficult life, survived traumatic events that distorted their worldview and led to a divorce from the family. Our institution actually performs the same function as the state shelter, but the approach to the rehabilitation of children differs dramatically.

First of all, we provide an individual approach to every child who is not able to provide the state system. Our Center fully exists at the expense of charitable funds from caring people and now we need your help. The main value of the Center is that we create an environment that does not focus on the traumatized child. We accept the past of our pupils, our psychologist helps to rethink it, but we offer children a new experience of a better life, we give the opportunity to build a new type of relationship with adults and affection.

Children who enter the Center are special. All of them have a negative experience of communication with adults, most of them have not formed ideas about positive relationships, psychological trauma is felt. Habituation of a child to new conditions is often accompanied by disturbed sleep, appetite, a general weakening of the body, and negative emotions. We understand that the process of adaptation can be very painful and unpredictable. The most important thing in this period is the full adoption of the child, love, support, agreement, the search for a joint solution to conflict situations and, of course, a warm and cozy home.

The aim of the project is to raise funds for the payment of utilities, namely, water bills, electricity, and rent, without which life is impossible! Our goal is for children to live in a cozy house, where everyone has their own bed, a place, a refuge from sadness, where there is always light and heat. The amount to be paid for 2 months (August and September 2019) for water is 4 310 UAH, for light – 14 190 UAH, and for hot water – 2 424 UAH, rental of premises – 13 880 UAH. Now it is just necessary to raise funds for utilities, since the Center may be left without the necessary communications for life! Let's not stand aside from the problems of these children and give them comfortable conditions for life and comfort! We are looking forward to your help!
