Help Denys to take the first steps

Deniska has cerebral palsy. In simple words, this is when the muscles are squeezed and it is difficult for a child to make a seemingly simple hand movement. If you do not go through the rehabilitation period, the spasticity increases and the child becomes more squeezed. He is even more tormented by muscle pain.

Deniska was born prematurely at the 28th week of pregnancy. He was very weak, did not breathe on his own, therefore he spent a long time in intensive care (2.5 months). Even on the third day after birth, a cerebral hemorrhage occurred, which significantly worsened the child's condition and led to the formation of internal hydrocephalus. Staying on prolonged artificial respiration led to broncho-pulmonary dysplasia. The child became addicted to inhalation, which made it easier for him to breathe. Thanks to drug treatment, the parents managed to compensate for the hydrocephalus without surgery. All this became the reason for such a difficult condition of the child.

At the age of 5 months, the baby was discharged home. And a month later, rehabilitation began. At first, these were the neurological departments of the city hospital. Then treatment in the RC "Elita", Lviv. Constant physical activity gave positive results. Deniska gradually began to withdraw from inhalations. The lungs began to cope on their own.

Then went to rehabilitation in other centers of Ukraine: RC "Vilny Rukh" (Slavutich), RC "House of health" Will be so" (Dnipro), RC "Hieroglyph" (Dnipro), RC "Sprout of Life" (Kharkіv). Denis appeared, though small, but new skills, new skills. Now Denis is 5 years old and his diagnosis: spastic tetraparesis, internal hydrocephalus, symptomatic epilepsy. He already knows how to hold his head well, roll over from back to stomach and vice versa, crawls on his bellies, there is an emphasis on straight pens, speaks in separate words, but will soon learn to speak in sentences!

Deniska really wants to learn how to sit and walk on her own. He wants to run with his friends, play football. To achieve this goal, constant rehabilitation is needed. Unfortunately, each of them costs an average of 25 thousand UAH, and they need 5-6 per year. For a family, this is a lot of money, since only dad works, mom is constantly with the child.

And the boy wants to walk so much! Help us raise money for a rehabilitation course for a boy!
