Help me walk on my own! 2

The family of Angelina Baklanova is again seeking help. Angelina is 12, she is a child with disability, subgroup A. Her diagnosis is infantile cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, deformation of both thighs. Angelina’s mother raises three children alone and she also has visual disability. Several years ago, they had to leave their home in Donbass in panic to escape the war. Children will never forget the first explosion in the yard on the playing ground. This was time when they had to live in a dank cellar and cook on fire. Now the family lives in Odesa in the social center.

Angelina is a special child, she can’t walk at all, all her life she moves in the wheelchair. She is a smiling kind girl, creative person, she loves painting, handmade and modelling. However, her cherished dream is to get up from the wheelchair, walk by herself, just like other kids, play with friends and help her mother. She takes maximum effort to do that! Angelina courageously undergoes all needed treatment and rehabilitation therapy. The treatment brings results. She can do many things that she could not before.

In February 2021 Angelina underwent a serious treatment in Kharkiv at Sytenko Institute, she underwent numerous complex lower limbs surgeries. In May after removal of scotchcasts Angelina must start the rehabilitation recommended by doctors. The rehabilitation can’t be postponed, the slightest delay will mean that those long hours of surgeries, hard recovery, pain and fear, sleepless nights, all that Angelina went through was in vain.

The bill for the rehabilitation in Truskavets at the infantile cerebral palsy treatment clinic makes UAH 21,145.00. The family asks for financial support, the budget of the family is exhausted. They hardly have enough money for some food, diapers, medicines and transportation costs.
