Help the young dad walk without pain!

Vitaliy is an ordinary man from a small town in the Sumy region, and he left for the capital 10 years ago to live there – as many others did. He finished the university, found an interesting job, married and became a father. He did not need much for happiness – just a daughter, loving wife, healthy parents and a hobby of the whole life which is playing football. However, the knee injury made it impossible not to play football but to live a full life. Now Vitaliy needs an urgent and expensive operation on his knee, which he cannot collect money for, and therefore he asks for your help!

However, the knee injury made it impossible not to play football but to live a full life. Now Vitaliy needs an urgent and expensive operation on his knee, which he cannot collect money for, and therefore he asks for your help!

Since his childhood, Vitaliy has always been an energetic boy and he spent all his spare time on the playground. It was impossible to make him stay in the house for a nap or lunch. He was running with his friends from dawn till dusk. Once Vitaliy’s father gave his son a leather ball as a birthday present, which became the boy’s favorite toy for a lifetime. Therefore, from the 5th form, Vitaliy started playing football professionally. Soon he became a captain of his school football team, a bit later – a player of the university team and the team of the amateur league of Kyiv. Further, there were big dreams and plans, but one wrong movement – and the left leg knee is no longer safe.

After the injury, Vitaliy went for a medical check-up immediately and the doctor said he had a chronic anterior medial instability of the left leg joint. Vitaliy was prescribed a rehabilitation course in the gym and received a recommendation to visit the swimming pool. However, later the situation with the knee became even worse, and Vitaliy had to get back to the doctors again. The last visit to the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine made the situation clear – and Vitaliy’s been recommended to undergo a planned arthroscopy of the left knee joint and anterior cruciate ligament plastic surgery. Without it, Vitaliy will have a lifetime experience of friction in the knee from his unstable position, the inability to stand normally and keep the balance of the whole body because the knees are also responsible for the vestibular apparatus in general. With such a trauma it is hard not just to walk but simply to lower the baby’s carriage with the child down the stairs.

If the surgery is not performed in the near future, a trauma can lead to arthrosis and problems with another knee, since most of the body’s weight load will pass on another leg. Over the past week, pain and discomfort in the knee have increased significantly, but Vitaliy now has nothing left to do but go to work, because the wife is on maternity leave to care for their little daughter. Vitaliy’s and his wife’s parents help the young family as they can, but this is still not enough to raise enough money for a surgery which is needed urgently.

Vitaliy and his whole family ask people who are not indifferent to help them raise funds for this surgery that will allow a young father to walk normally and live as before. Please, help Vitaliy and his family to live a normal life again!
