Help not to lose a leg!

At seventeen girls enjoy life, fall in love, and plan their future. Svitlana was no different: she went to college, had many friends and participated in the band of drummers Lytavry. But suddenly everything changed, everything around was alien and dangerous: the girl was diagnosed with CANCER.

And now that Svitlana did not lose a leg, it is necessary to install a prosthesis that is specially made individual substitute the affected bone. Its total cost – more than UAH 500 000. UAH 400 000 are paid by philanthropists, and the rest must gather us with you, and do it very quickly! Otherwise, the tumor will progress and Svitlana will hear a terrible word "amputation".

The first symptoms of the disease appeared in May of this year. In June Svitlana was examined at the OKHMATDYT hospital where a tumor was detected. Then there was the National Cancer Institute, the diagnosis of osteosarcoma and chemotherapy. Now Svitlana is waiting for a surgery aimed at an endoprosthesis installation. Both the overall success of treatment and quality of the girl’s life after the disease depend on this surgery.

In her letter to St. Nicholas Svitlana wrote: "I am an adult and I understand that people are more likely to donate for little kids. And what to do, when you are 17 and you only began to live, love, create, dream and here a dreadful disease makes you bedridden… And you have only two options: either amputation or installing endoprosthesis to purchase which you need to have UAH 500 000. My parents are doing their best looking for funds but even if they sell everything they have they won’t have the required amount. And I want so much to walk on my own feet, to march again with my drum in the band… Please, help me!"
