Help save lives on the frontline

In July 2025, the project “Help Save Lives on the Frontline” was launched on the dobro.ua platform of the NGO “International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’”. The goal of the project was to raise funds for the purchase of auxiliary equipment for the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment (Military Unit A3449).
The target amount for the project was 87,998.00 UAH.

Upon our request dated September 2, 2025, funds in the amount of 45,157.00 UAH were allocated from the “Health” Piggy Bank to enable the purchase of auxiliary equipment for a medical evacuation vehicle.

In September 2025, we withdrew the collected amount of 51,220.00 UAH to purchase auxiliary equipment — a tablet. By adding funds from the foundation’s own budget, we acquired and delivered an Apple iPad Pro 11" (2024), 256 GB, valued at 54,999.00 UAH.

In October, the tablet was handed over to the unit and is now actively used by the regiment’s medics to assist the wounded. The device has become part of a mobile diagnostic complex, allowing ultrasound examinations to be conducted directly during the evacuation of the wounded from combat zones.

The regiment’s medics save the lives of soldiers and civilians every day under extremely challenging conditions. The evacuation vehicles effectively serve as mobile clinics. Connected to portable ultrasound machines, modern tablets allow for rapid examinations of the chest, abdominal cavity, musculoskeletal system, as well as urological and gynecological diagnostics.

The tablet functions as a display screen that receives images from the ultrasound probe. This enables the doctor to visualize internal organs in real time and identify bleeding, trauma, and other critical injuries.

On October 28, 2025, we requested to close the fundraising campaign and reduce the project’s goal to the actually collected amount of 52,252.00 UAH, since the need had been fulfilled. The remaining untransferred funds of 1,032.00 UAH were requested to be canceled and handled in accordance with the Rules, Principles, and Procedures of the NGO “International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’”.
