Roman is a cheerful and kind fourteen-year-old boy. Three years ago, he led an active life: he played football, spent a lot of time outside with his friends, and dreamed of sports achievements. But after the full-scale invasion began, his life changed dramatically. The severe emotional stress experienced by the family probably led to a serious diagnosis of type 1 diabetes, insulin-dependent.
Romchyk was forced to radically change his lifestyle: now every day is about constant monitoring of glucose levels, dietary compliance and insulin injections. Together with his parents, he is learning to live in a new way, constantly fighting for his health and trying to remain as active as ever.
Modern technologies make life much easier for people with diabetes: to maintain a stable condition, the boy uses an insulin pump. However, its operation constantly requires consumables such as catheters, reservoirs, and sensors for continuous glucose monitoring. This helps to avoid dangerous sugar fluctuations and prevent complications. Unfortunately, all this equipment costs a lot of money and needs to be regularly updated. Taking away the disease's power over the boy's body, Romchyk's family let it get its merciless claws into their finances. Each new component becomes more and more difficult to pay for. Roman has always reached for the stars – help him to curb the disease that is dragging him down! Help him buy sensors!
