Our Arsenij has a cerebral palsy diagnosis from birth and during the last year he has had some slight changes, but changes for better. After the surgery on his legs that was done in spring in Kharkiv in the Institute of orthopedics and prosthetics he spent two months with his legs in gypsum, after which, very timely, a rehabilitation in Lviv was done thanks to all the people who helped to gather the money for this trip. The result of it was astonishing for us- Arsenij started crawling on his knees (before he could crawl only on his belly), started to sit in a "frog" position and learned to play not only laying, but also sitting! Doctors- orthopedists recommend us the staged surgeries for Arsenij with the course of his growth. The next surgery is planned for the 25th of February of 2016.

Because the spastic of the muscles hinders the normal growth of the bones, such surgeries are conducted only according to the methodic of professor Ulzibath. These surgeries are very expensive, but are very necessary in our case. However, our family lacks funds for them. That is why we have to turn to all the kind-hearted and the indifferent people- please help us! Please help us take our son to the specialists which can help Arsenij overcome one more step on the ladder to his healing, to his first own steps! It is very important and it is possible to be done! We will be so grateful to you!
Arsenij's birth was difficult. But he was struggling for life. And he survived! Regardless of the circumstances that still cause the perplexity when people hear his story. His case is unique- he was born after 40 days of waterless period, 7 months old, weighing 1450 grams and survived two clinical deaths during first two weeks of life. It is not his fault that he doesn't have a childhood. He has constant visits to hospitals and treatments, while the boy wants and could play with his mates in the yard, ride a bike, play ball! Besides, having and riding a bike is his dream. However for now it is physically impossible. For now he only has countless injections, medicine, daily massages and physical exercises. Not speaking about the surgeries- three for now. But experiencing all of this he nevertheless has stayed kind, smiling and cheerful boy. Intellectually Arsenij is on a high level, but he is limited in his movements. But we are full of hope and have not given up, we are working every day with him. Mother, trainer, massage and speech therapists and the teacher. A lot is done by the mother, as there is not much help on the side of the governmental authorities. Nevertheless, solving a current problem is impossible without the specialists. The only income source of our family up to this time was the work of his father. But he was unlawfully fired. That is why we are turning for help and really hope that there will be kind-hearted people who will respond.
Please help Arsenij to avoid living in a disabled wheelchair!
