Yura Bocharnikov was 16 years old when his life turned upside down. As a result of an unsuccessful jump on the beach trampoline in August 2016, the guy received a closed spinal cord trauma, spinal injury, a fracture and dislocation of the cervical vertebrae. Yura spent four months lying motionless in the neurosurgery department of the Odessa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. He was treated with skeletal traction, received anti-decubitus therapy and he really wanted to go home.

At home, his condition began to improve significantly, persistent nausea disappeared, appetite began to appear. A month after discharge, bed sores were cured. In March 2017, Yura has already started to sit on the bed. In April, he was able to sit by himself. In May-June, he completed a monthly rehabilitation course at the “Modrichi” RC, in Lvov region. He arrived there lying down, and when he left, the boy could already walk with two four-bearing canes. In September and October, he completed another course there. The condition improved, not as for the first time, however, he could walk with only one four-bearing cane.

Now Yura is a student of Izmail State University. He is a first-year student of the faculty of administration and information activities, online study mode. At the same time, he works in his native school as a laboratory assistant. Along the street, to school, he moves in a wheelchair, and through the school - with the help of a four-bearing cane. At work, he feels better, because the load is present and the young body is slowly recovering. Rehabilitation in a specialized center can significantly accelerate this process, funds for which the rural family does not have. Yura wants to recover, acquire a profession, start a family because he is still young and has a whole life ahead of him!
