Help Vitalii recover

Vasyliuk Vita Anatoliivna is the mother of two beautiful twins Ann and Vitalik (born in 2010). They were born prematurely at 32 weeks of pregnancy.The delivery of the baby girl was fast and easy. When the second contractions started and the mother was given anesthesia, the horrible thing has happened, something you can't even imagine in the scariest nightmare. Birth asphyxia occurred, caused by long and difficult delivery. The hospital staff successfully resuscitated him, but it has caused the complicated type of CP (Cerebral Palsy) - spastic tetraplegia. Residual spasmatic syndrome with polymorphic epileptic seizures. It has resulted that the baby experienced developmental difficulties such as motor skills and verbal skills problems. 6 days of Vitalik's resuscitation, one month with both infants in a hospital - those were only first steps of mother's fight for her children's health and life.

Three years in a row the family did not celebrate New year or Christmas, cause Mother and Vitalik spent months in a hospital due to his epileptic seizures. And each time the doctors were not very optimistic. However, Vitalik is a very cheerful kid. He understands and feels everything, even though he can not speak, walk or sit. Ann and Vitalik are almost 8 now. And all those years they spent in hospitals, visiting rehabilitation clinics, rehabs, having therapeutic physical training, lots of massage therapies, being on medications all the time. They had so many sleepless nights. But Vitalik is very patient. He gets through all that treatment, shots, taking antiepileptic drugs on a daily basis. Yes, for sure it is very difficult and painful, but it gives the results. Vitalik has learned to hold his head up, muscle tone went a bit down. He is trying to reach toys now. He can stand on his hands. Vitalik started watching cartoons, running while wearing crawlers, of course under an adult control. He can take his cap off even though he drops it all the time and he always laughs how his mom is picking it up for the fifth or seventh time. And we think it is a huge progress and success.

The high-quality rehabilitation and health care help a lot. In order to help child, we need to visit V.I. Koziavkin International Clinic of Rehabilitation in Truskavets, four times a year. The rehabilitation is very expensive. And the parents are almost out of savings, they can’t afford to pay for all the rehabs, therapies and medication. That is why they are desperately asking for help. Please, help Vitalik to get healthy.
