Help Goldilocks
Little Zlata is a blue-eyed beauty with golden hair, the only and beloved daughter in the Shuliginykh family. Perhaps this is what Goldilocks would look like from a famous fairy tale. However, the life of Zlata can hardly be called fabulous: the girl has been ill since childhood. Cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, symptomatic epilepsy, pseudobulbar syndrome, psychomotor retardation are not all the girl's diagnoses.
And all this is because Zlata was born half-dead: she did not scream, did not breathe, only her little heartbeat and gave a chance to survive. They taught her to breathe in the intensive care unit and later stated: the girl had hypoxic-ischemic lesions of the central nervous system, brain swelling, and cerebral hemorrhage.
The family spent the first year of her life in hospitals. Each subsequent rehabilitation ended with severe colds and hospitalization, which did not fix the outcome of the treatment. Now they deal with Zlata mainly at home. While the girl does not walk, does not sit, turns to the side, keeps her head and back better after each course of rehabilitation, pulls herself up to sit down, briefly fixes her gaze.
The family now only has a dad who is trying with all his might to provide his girls with everything they need, but this is not enough for his daughter’s treatment. And recently, another grief happened in their family – the girl's mother became seriously ill. The diagnosis of breast cancer finally knocked down the family. What to do next? How to care for your daughter when the mother herself needs serious surgery?..
Thanks to you, dear donors, we have already raised funds for Irina, mother of Zlata. Now we want to support little Zlata and send her to a rehabilitation course at the Center Priority (Kiev) and Koziavkin Center. Help this fabulous girl to be healthy!
