Suddenly, at one of the training sessions, she felt sick. Fainting, dizziness, shortness of breath, fell upon recently such an active Darinka like an avalanche. The diagnoses of the doctors were definitively and irrevocably confirmed after the examination at the Heart Institute, that the girl suffers congenital heart disease, a thermodynamically significant open oval window.

Simply put, there is an opening in the heart's intertribal septum, which gets closed itself in 1 to 2 years after birth, but remains open in Darina's heart. The peculiarity of this variety of disease, as well as its insidiousness, is that it often does not become apparent for a long time. Some famous athletes have this pathology and become Olympic champions. But it's not all that luck for everyone. Darinka knows that herself, as in an instant, being, as it's seemingly been, perfectly healthy and active, she's suddenly joined a group of people with the first degree of heart failure.

As a result, it is much more difficult to plan for the future, because dizziness and almost non-vanishing weakness are constantly harassing Darinka, and sometimes there is not enough strength to get up in the morning and start a new day. The girl urgently needs surgery, because sudden and so rapidly progressing complications can lead to a sad ending. The purchase of a heart implant, which will allow for the endovascular closure of the open oval window costs 102,000 UAH (about 3,900 USD). For the Litkevich family from the city of Khmelnitsky, the sum is simply unthinkably huge. The girl's father, Oleg Litkevich, returned from the military clash zone with concussions and the small income that the girl's mother, Angela Litkevich, a hairdresser, earns for the family is almost completely spent for the father's rehabilitation.

This family cannot cope with this misfortune alone. Let's help the heart of Darinka fight and worry only from the joyful events in her life. Let's be the ones who will support her on the way to her future, that she is building so hard now. Help make a miracle!
