Andriy has medullary thyroid cancer with metastases in the spine. In recent years, the young man has undergone the most difficult surgeries to remove his thyroid gland, lymph nodes, and two operations to remove his adrenal glands. He also underwent radiosurgery using the CyberKnife system - the most effective treatment for tumors located in hard-to-reach places. During his placement in the project, Andriy needed to undergo a diagnostic test of the results of the surgery - PET computed tomography with gallium, such tests are performed only in Turkey.
On November 02, 2021, a project to help Andriy was posted on the dobro.ua platform for a total amount of UAH 126,000.00 (one hundred twenty-six thousand UAH 00 kopecks). Due to the outbreak of hostilities in the country, the project was suspended in March 2022. According to the letter out. No. 30 of 30/01/23, the project was resumed. According to the letter out. No. 30 of 1/11/23, it was agreed to postpone the final report until July 2024 due to the uncertainty of further treatment and the expectation of a decision on this matter. The ward's health condition has changed and he needed new examinations to assess the current state of the disease.
On November 01, 23, thanks to the funds raised under the project, we were able to pay for the necessary examinations at the Diagnostic and Treatment Center of the International Institute of Biological Systems - Odesa: CT oncoscreening, CT of the lumbosacral spine, CT of the cervical spine; CT of the thoracic spine and soft tissues of the neck in the amount of 11200.00 (eleven thousand two hundred) UAH 00 kopecks. Unused funds under the project amount to UAH 114800.00 (one hundred fourteen thousand eight hundred). 00 kopecks. Since it is not possible to realize the funds for diagnostics in Turkey due to the military actions in Ukraine, the funds in the amount of 114800.00 (one hundred fourteen thousand eight hundred) UAH.00 kopecks will be returned and are requested to be used in accordance with the Rules, Principles and Procedures.
