Bohdanchyk's road to independence

Bohdan is a boy with a sincere smile. He is the only child in the family, a long-awaited happiness that filled the house with light. At the age of one, doctors diagnosed Bohdan with cerebral palsy (CP). This news came as a heavy blow to his parents. It was hard to believe that such a difficult challenge was hidden behind an outwardly healthy and smiling child. But their love for their son was stronger than their fear. The family did not give up, but gathered all their strength to fight for his future.

Several years have passed since then. Regular rehabilitation, exercise, and medication have become part of their lives. Every year, the boy undergoes several rehabilitation courses, which is financially difficult for the family. But the parents believe that one day Bohdan will take his first independent step without support.

Bohdan is a very smart and curious boy. He studies in the second grade, enjoys listening to music, singing, is fond of math, and asks a lot of questions about everything around him. His curiosity and amazing memory amaze everyone who knows him. Despite his difficulties with hand motor skills, the boy diligently performs exercises every day to develop his skills.

The constant work is already showing results: Bohdan started walking with only one hand and stopped crossing his legs while walking. However, it is still not easy, the boy gets tired quickly and often needs a wheelchair to walk. Still, Bohdan remains a cheerful, open-minded and kind boy who dreams of running, playing with friends and exploring the world on his own two feet.

Cerebral palsy is not a sentence, but a daily hard work. But to continue this struggle, funds are needed for another course of rehabilitation. For the family, these expenses are unbearable.
