Giving birth to a child with cerebral palsy is always heartbreaking. But when two long-awaited children are both born with cerebral palsy – it is a double shock to their parents. Maria and Roman’s parents have mobilized all their energy and invested it in their children’s development. The Dimovy twins are very special children. They are only 6 years old but they have to fight their illnesses in an adult manner. Maria and Roman were born prematurely. They had to undergo resuscitation and one month later they were diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, life in Dimov family has changed dramatically. Children need a regular rehabilitation program.

Giving birth to a child with cerebral palsy is always heartbreaking. But when two long-awaited children are both born with cerebral palsy – it is a double shock to their parents.

Each rehabilitation course improves their condition a lot. Kids are always looking forward to having these treatments as it helps their physical development. Children like their exercises with rehab therapists very much. Every time once one course of rehabilitation is finished, it becomes noticeable how much stronger they become after. Both of them are now consciously engaged in classes. They carefully carry out all the tasks with only with understanding and seriousness, and no tears anymore.

After the previous course of rehabilitation, Maria became more resilient to physical exertion, her ability to walk improved. Roman’s hands became much stronger, he began to walk up the stairs with support and he became interested as well as motivated to practice. In the Dimov family, kids’ father is the only breadwinner who is happy to do any work as long as he can make money to support his children. Their mother brings up three children – Roman and Maria have their older sister Ekaterina.

The Dimovy family and the charitable organization "Spasibo" ask everyone to help to purchase medical vouchers to use on the Child Rehabilitation Center "Vilny Rukh" (Slavutych, Ukraine). Please help twins improve their health!
