We are seeking to raise UAH 2 800 000 for the purchase of a modern endoscopic imaging system with a Fujifilm EB-530R bronchoscope, which is urgently needed by the intensive care unit of St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv. This equipment will allow doctors to quickly, safely and accurately assess the condition of children's airways and save their lives in a timely manner.

Every year, about 30 thousand children from all over Ukraine are hospitalized at St. Nicholas Hospital. Many of them have severe injuries, infections, complications, or are prematurely born babies who cannot breathe on their own.

Among them are the stories of Sofia, who spent more than 100 days in intensive care on a ventilator, Milanka, who suffered a cardiac arrest due to complications of chickenpox, or Yakov and Volodya, who were seriously injured in a missile strike. All these children need urgent high-quality medical care.

A modern bronchoscope allows for minimally invasive examinations, removal of foreign bodies from the airways, quick determination of the extent of the lesion, no transportation of a child in critical condition, and immediate action in the intensive care unit. This is especially important for patients on artificial lung ventilation. Thanks to this equipment, doctors will be able to see what is happening inside in real time and make vital decisions instantly.

Today, St. Nicholas Hospital does not have such a bronchoscope. Without it, doctors often have to work blindly or wait for access to complex and slow examinations, which in critical situations can cost a child's life. In the absence of a bronchoscope, in 10-15 percent of cases, dangerous conditions remain undetected in time. The risk of death from respiratory failure increases if mucus or a foreign body is not removed quickly. We are confident that together we can change this.

The purchase of a bronchoscope will help save the lives of more than a thousand children every year. This is a real tool for doctors and a real chance for patients. We invite you to join us in raising funds for this critical equipment.

Let's help doctors save children in the best possible conditions. Each donation brings a life closer.

Kyivstar prepaid subscribers can make a one-time donation (from UAH 1 to UAH 2,000) or arrange a regular transfer of UAH 2, 5, 10, 15 and 20. The regular donation will be made automatically after each top-up of UAH 40 or more.

The amount of the contribution does not matter, because every hryvnia helps a good cause.

Get involved and send a message with an amount of 1 UAH or more to the following numbers:

450027 - a one-time transfer to help children's intensive care units;
450028 - a regular transfer to help children's intensive care units.
You can also join the project with a bank card at dobro.ua.

Since the launch of the initiative, SMS donations from mobile subscribers have already helped to purchase equipment for more than a dozen children's medical institutions.

UPD: the name of the project have been updated. Old project name: "Seeing to Save".
