Evelina may lose all her abilities

This little sunshine is 3-year-old Evelina, who needs our help with rehabilitation. The girl has Rett syndrome, an incurable genetic disorder that causes rapid developmental regression. Doctors confirmed this diagnosis when Evelina was 1 year and 6 months old, through genetic testing in the US and Germany.

From birth, the girl developed with delayed psychomotor and physical development: she had poor eye contact and weak muscles. Evelina began to take her first steps at 1 year and 9 months, and at 2 years and 6 months she began to walk without falling, but with coordination problems: she still has difficulty stepping over raised surfaces and climbing and descending stairs.

Evelina still does not speak, understands speech at a basic level, has weak arms, and cannot take care of herself. Due to her diagnosis, the girl needs constant rehabilitation and sessions with specialists, as there is a possibility of regression to the point of complete loss of skills and abilities.
