Hungry old age. 2

The old ones, the lonely ones, those who escaped from the war, finding shelter in a strange city on a sloping summer... It is with such lonely and poor people whose eyes are full of indescribable sorrow, and often – and despair, everyday workers of our fund meet. The old men did not think that having given the best years of their life, working hard for the good of their country, will remain in the most pristine time, when they are weak and helpless, absolutely, without health, money, and even a roof over their heads, because they were forced to leave all that they have gained throughout life, fleeing from war. 

Different ways have led them to our city but united by all the common misfortune – the struggle for survival. We are talking about such a level of poverty when we have to choose – to buy for the last penny of bread or vital medicines, when, after paying utility bills, we have almost nothing to eat, until the next pension comes, when there is no need to expect help from someone, because it does not have children, no other relatives or friends who can take care of the poor. These people are forgotten by all and left to survive.

The only hope for salvation from starvation is the workers of the Khmelnytsky charitable fund "Caritas", which from time to time bring the most necessary products to the oldest. However, today the resources of the "Home Care" project are exhausted and can not at least partially cover the needs of 30 acutely needy single elderly people. Therefore, we appeal to everyone whose heart is open to another's misfortune, so that together, donating at least a few hryvnias each, we could support the old men and save them from the hungry lonely old age. We are the only ones with whom they can hope.
