The aim of the project was to raise funds for the purchase of a bioimplant for a pediatric patient at the Pavytsy Konstantin National Cancer Institute. A teenager has Ewing's sarcoma, a malignant tumor in the bone tissue. After a long treatment, chemotherapy, Kostya was waiting for surgery to establish a donor bone. A unique bioimplant with a complex design was ordered in the UK. The product itself was so complex and unique that the manufacturers received such an order for the first time. We have been waiting for the product for more than three months. According to the receipt, the patient received the product on October 29, 2021. And when he could have surgery, Kostya fell ill with a viral disease. The quarantine postponed the long-awaited operation for almost three weeks. That is why the date of receipt and the date of the transaction differ by almost a month. The operation was performed on November 27, 2021. Now the child's condition is stable, rehabilitation is underway and full recovery is expected.
