Davyd is a cheerful and energetic five-year-old boy. Despite all the doctors' warnings about the danger of the second birth for the mother and the risk of her complete disability, the child came into the world wanted and surrounded by love. To the delight of his family, little Davyd grew up to be a cheerful and healthy boy, but one merciful Easter day divided his life into "before" and "after".
It seemed that the boy had recovered from a common cold. But he did not get better – on the contrary, his condition only worsened. After the tests, Davyd was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit, because his blood sugar level was sky-high. Type I diabetes is an ominous diagnosis that has unceremoniously shattered the boy's life. The child needs a strict diet, constant blood sugar checks: piercing his finger with a glucometer lancet more than ten times a day, and other additional treatment.
Of course, the state provides some medicines, including insulin, but this is not enough. The family has to finance some medications and continuous blood sugar monitoring devices out of their own pockets. And unfortunately, it is not very full: the only income in the family is social payments for Davyd and his father, who has a second-grade disability, and social assistance for the child's maintenance. They have no parents or relatives who could lend them a helping hand, and in addition to their sick son, the family has an older 14-year-old daughter.
Help the family to give the children a better, healthier life and provide Davyd with sensors!
