Heroes without pain

The project was created with the aim of developing a systematic approach to pain management for UNBROKEN patients. Its main objectives were to train specialists in modern methods of pain diagnosis and treatment, provide them with the necessary equipment, and bring together specialists from various fields into a multidisciplinary team.
In September 2024, the “Heroes Without Pain” project was launched on the dobro.ua platform of the UBB International Charitable Foundation to establish Pain Treatment Centers. Since it was necessary to begin implementing the project, in September 2025, we received a portion of the funds raised in the amount of 10,388,317.00 UAH.
 As part of the charitable fundraising effort at this stage of the project, some of the necessary medical equipment was purchased for a total of 2,079,090.13 UAH, specifically:
•    a dual-arm surgical lamp that provides high-quality and stable lighting during surgical procedures;
•    an ultrasound machine, which allows for accurate diagnosis and planning of further treatment;
•    a defibrillator, which is critical for patient safety in the event of cardiovascular emergencies during surgeries and rehabilitation.
Between September and October 2025, the purchased equipment was transferred to the MUNICIPAL NON-PROFIT ENTERPRISE “1ST TERRITORIAL MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OF LVIV.” 

The remaining funds in the amount of 8,309,226.87 UAH will be used for the next phases of the project, specifically for the further equipping and development of pain treatment centers, approximately through June 2026.

This equipment is currently in the hospital’s warehouse, as renovation work is still underway in the department that will be converted into a pain center. Once the renovation work is complete, the purchased equipment will be installed and put into operation.
