UPD: unfortunately, Liza died. The disease was stronger. The UBB team brings our sincere words of condolences to the girl’s family and thanks to everyone who supported Liza. Lisa Trilenko has been struggling with a terrible disease for a year now. Lymphogranulomatosis or Hodgkin's lymphoma has crept unnoticed and does not want to let girl go. Part of the struggle is over, but there is still a long and difficult path ahead. Patience, perseverance is not all that Lisa and her family should stock up on. Still need money, a lot of money for drugs. And here Lisa can not do without our help.
The illness came under the guise of a harmless cough, but home treatment did not help. The alarmed mother went to the doctor who prescribed an x-ray: the examination showed a darkening of the left pleural cavity. It was a tumor between the lungs and the heart. From the Apostol Hospital, Lisa was urgently transferred to the Dnieper to the Regional Nursery, where she was diagnosed with lymphogranulomatosis. The treatment began: 10 chemotherapy blocks were prescribed. Each course is a real test: low protein and high liver rates, impaired heart function, bone pain, white blood cells fell to almost zero, Lisa did not have the strength to get out of bed. The vessels constantly formed blood clots, had to take an expensive drug that prevents their formation. So the girl spent her fifteenth year of life.
In April, the first stage of treatment came to an end, and Lisa was sent to Kiev for examination. It was terrible to think of something, but nevertheless mom and daughter hoped for the best, looking out the window of the train "Dnepr - Kiev". Hope did not come true, computed tomography showed that the tumor is progressing. In early May, Lisa was again hospitalized in the hematology department and continues intensive chemotherapy. Ahead is a difficult, long and expensive treatment. Supporting drugs for the liver and gastrointestinal tract, antibiotics, and consumables that the hospital does not require will be needed again. Liza's mom does not work, as she is constantly close to her daughter, and my dad's earnings are barely enough to live on.
The girl is very tired of the endless injections and droppers, but still tries not to lose heart. When she gets a little better, she takes knitting needles and threads and knits. Sometimes they save books, help to escape from pain and fear. We ask you to be near Lisa on this difficult path. We can not give her more courage and determination, but we can support her financially. And this, in turn, will fill it with calm and confidence. Let's support Lisa!
