I am ready to fight
Little Vika was a very lively girl. She was like Petryk Piatochkin, a restless character of the famous Ukrainian cartoon. When there was a competition, a performance or a party, Vika was always ready to participate. But a disease came suddenly. The parents noticed that their daughter got weak and sleepy that wasn't typical of her. Then there were hospitals, medical tests, incorrect treatment that didn’t produce any results. Only after a thorough examination a brain tumor was detected.
Chemotherapy began. Everything was according to plan but abruptly the girl felt very bad. She was hospitalized at the Institute of Neurosurgery. For a long time Vika could not move, eat or talk. This condition was after going through chemotherapy and a surgery for shunt system revision. She looked like a faded flower. And then a miracle happened. One day Vika just opened her eyes and talked, then she began to eat and to sit on her own. Now the girl cannot walk because her leg muscles weakened after a month of convulsions and constant lying in bed.
Vika needs one more surgery aimed at installing a special liquor-shunt system with an antibacterial element and a reservoir for chemotherapy infusion. She must continue immediately the main treatment, that is cancer treatment. Such a system is very expensive – 12 000 UAH, that’s why the parents are desperate. After a long treatment they don’t have any funds but time cannot be wasted because their daughter’s life depends on it.
