The terrible Duchenne disease deprived Yaroslav of the ability to walk. Unfortunately, the boy's heart and respiratory muscles are weakening and he needs ALV machine to improve and prolong his life.

At the age of 6, Yaroslav was diagnosed with Duchenne myopathy. This insidious disease affects 1 of 35,000 boys. It leads to disability at an early age and disappointing consequences in the early years. Gradually, the muscles die, at first the child stops running, then he stops moving independently. Yaroslav has not been able to walk for 5 years. He travels on a scooter for people with disabilities.

Yaroslav graduated with honors from the 8th grade of a comprehensive school. Now he is studying at the Lyceum at the Department of Architecture and Computer Graphics (Warsaw, Poland). Yaroslav dreams of becoming an IT specialist. He loves to travel, swim, draws well. On the canvas, he embodies his dreams and does not lose optimism. Yaroslav has already had personal art exhibitions.

The boy, despite his problems, is always smiling and cheerful. He inspires his family to fight for his life. Due to illness, the boy lost the ability to run, jump and just walk. But, despite the trials, Yaroslav is a positive person and believes in a bright future.

Unfortunately, the boy's heart and respiratory muscles are also gradually weakening. Yaroslav will soon be 16 years old and this is a very dangerous age, because in adolescence, children with DMD need the support of breathing apparatus. This will significantly improve the quality of Yaroslav`s life and increase its duration. The best option is to purchase a ALV machine, which costs a lot of money. Unfortunately, breathing does not improve, but rather worsens. The demand for this apparatus will only grow.

There is already an expensive pathogenetic treatment for Yaroslav in the world – the medication Exondis 51. Since 2016, in the United States, this medication has already been used. But it has not been registered in Ukraine yet. Yaroslav's family is doing everything possible to receive treatment. Every day they do rehabilitation: exercises, stretching, verticalization, visit swimming pool. Yaroslav does his best, like a real warrior. But the family does not have the opportunity to purchase ALV machine on their own.

Let us not remain indifferent to Yaroslav's problem and help in purchasing a vital ALV machine so that Yaroslav won the battle for his life.
