I need continue the treatment even during the war
Even children are suffering from this war. Especially children with disabilities. One can only imagine how they endure the sound of sirens, the constant movement for cover, or worst of all, explosions. The Boretsky family lives in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and is raising a son with a disability. Fortunately, the rehabilitation center in Lviv, where little Vova can receive the necessary rehabilitation treatment, is working. However, the family does not have the means to do so.
Vova was born prematurely – at the 29th week of pregnancy - and did not breathe on his own. The baby was placed under a ventilator, where he stayed for about a month. The fight for the boy's life lasted for 6 months, during which time Vova experienced respiratory arrest, sleep apnea, pneumothorax, meningitis, sepsis, eye retinopathy and hearing loss. But he did not give up and just lived, tried to grab every chance.
Volodya could not learn how to suck and swallow on his own, but when the baby's condition stabilized, the boy's mother was taught to put a tube on him and was discharged home. Since then, Vovchik's life has been in the hands of his parents, who taught him everything and got used to a different life, not like everyone else... Now the boy is 5 years old and he suffers from cerebral palsy, symptomatic epilepsy, delayed physical and mental development, bilateral sensorineural hearing loss of the IV degree (Volodya is a cochlear implant carrier) and has vision problems.
All this time, Vova underwent various physical, speech therapy and psychological rehabilitation, but now there is no such possibility. The Elita Rehabilitation Center in Lviv is working and can help the boy, however, it needs funds. Help him get some much-needed treatment!
