Evgenii was born prematurely and was immediately admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. He spent the first month and a half of his life in the hospital, where a ventilator helped him breathe, and later, non-invasive lung ventilation. After stabilizing his condition, doctors conducted an examination, which resulted in severe diagnoses: cerebral palsy, epilepsy and delayed psychomotor development. Long-term treatment began.

Now Evgenii is 3 years old. But despite all the efforts, he still cannot hold his head, sit, walk or talk confidently. Before the full-scale invasion, the family lived in Kherson, where the boy regularly underwent rehabilitation. The war forced them to move to Odesa region, and, unfortunately, the family's financial resources are severely limited.

For children with such diagnoses, ongoing rehabilitation is the only chance to improve their quality of life. It helps to reduce symptoms, develop new skills and gives hope for a better future. In Evgenii's case, after the last course of treatment, the boy became more mobile, started rolling around in bed, and his salivation decreased and new sounds appeared. Unfortunately, rehabilitation courses are expensive, and the family is no longer able to cover these costs on their own.
