I am grateful for every daughter's breath

Little Pelageya suffers from cystic fibrosis (extreme form). However, people do live with such a diagnosis, in Ukraine there are many difficulties with treating such patients. Every month Pelageya needs medications which all require at least 6 500 UAH. Three times a week this sweet girl goes to hospital and gets infusion therapy that may cost up to 17,000 UAH.

Pelageya is both – a strong and sunny child! Even though this girl has to face great challenges, she possesses a strong character. Pelageya is just 2,5 years old but she is a real warrior!
Pelageya’s parents can’t describing their baby without a smile. Their little princess is a real fireball, jumper and a cute smile maker!

The girl’s family of four children lives in a small town of Melitopol. A close friend of the Nesterenko family has composed a little poem dedicated to little Pelageya:

“My sweet baby-girl falls asleep in my arms, my poor princess,
I can hardly breathe, choked on bitter tears
But I shall fight for you and win,
My mother’s love will conquer everything!
I’ll hide you away from cold farewell winds,
The death, this eternal sleep, will lose its powerful keys,
You’re destined to live my wonderful angel, my sunlight of skies
You’ll see, your sun of life will arise!”

The diagnosis of our beautiful princess is not definitely terminal. It simply means a different mode of life. This life is not easy and means many medications, accompanied with constant inhalations and infusions. Unfortunately, this life also costs big sums of money.
Inhalations is another story. Our little sweetie hates to breathe into nebulizer alone. She always takes her favourite doll by her side, puts a mask on her face, makes sure she does it properly and checks everything out. Then her little doll friend also has to face injections and take medications. Pelageya and her doll bravely share their ordeal.

Let us together support Nesterenko family. We wish so much little Pelageya together with her mom and dad were never sad, and their only problem were inhalation therapies but not the lack of money for it.
