The girl is 11 years old. She has a complicated scoliosis of the last, fourth degree, a hump grows. Olesya's spine is so twisted that her heart and internal organs are under dangerous loading, besides, her back and head ache. she can not hide the suffering. If nothing is done, the spine will continue to deform, and the crooked bones will begin to squeeze the internal organs even more. Save Olesya can surgery. Olesya spends most of her time reading and drawing. Stories, short stories, collections of favorite poems, easel, favorite paints and a palette - bookshelves occupy the whole wall in the children's room, and the mantle and paint the whole table. Many parents would have been delighted with such a love of reading and art, but Olesya's mother, Yana, is seriously worried. Olesya has little contact with peers, and Yana is afraid that her daughter will be closed, she will be shy about her appearance.

Olesya was born and grew up a healthy, emotional child. Even the colds rarely hurt, only during the adaptation period in the kindergarten. But for the summer of 2016, the girl grew very much, that is not characteristic of children of her age. This has adversely affected the overall health of Olesya. "Scoliosis was found in the autumn", Olesya's mother remembers. "After a scheduled physical examination at school. We immediately went to the orthopedic surgeon, and there we diagnosed a scoliosis of the 4th degree".

After that, Olesya lay in the hospital, then spent six months in a rigid straightening corset. Now she regularly goes with her mother for therapeutic physical training and massage. But all this does not help. The girl grows fast. For a year the angle of deviation increased from 16 to 65 degrees. Olesya began to suffer pain in the back, there was shortness of breath, the girl quickly became tired.

"Doctors explained to us that Olesya has a severe form of S-shaped scoliosis, which is very progressive and leads to a change in the shape of the chest and back," says Olesya's mother. "Gradually, it forms a hump, which presses on the internal organs. She suffers from constant strong pains in the back, the damaged vertebrae begin to press on the heart. Physicians say that with scoliosis, the suffering of the patient is directly proportional to the degree of deformation of the skeleton. In Olesya, they are so obvious..." The curvature has already reached 65 degrees! To the pains in the back were added and frequent headaches, which arose also because of the curvature of the spine. The last few years every day of studying and just life requires Olesya great efforts and great patience.

Because of the illness, Olesya has to give up a lot: she is not allowed to do exercise - she cannot run, nor go skiing or skating. The only thing that Olesya is not ready to part with is classes in an art school, although she too cannot sit at a desk for a long time. In Ukraine, free surgery to correct scoliosis with the use of implant structures, do not. Therefore, it is not necessary to count on help on a quota, but there is no time to wait. During this time, the disease can permanently cripple and destroy the child.

Specialists of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Kharkov National Medical University are ready to install the Stryker construction on the spine, which will not only fix the curvature but will continue to keep the bones in the right position, preventing them from deforming again. But the operation can only be paid. Yana Lukenko has three children, whom she brings up herself. A family of four lives on the social assistance that Yana receives and her husband's alimony, which is just over four thousand hryvnia a month. Where to get money for the operation of her daughter, Yana does not represent. She can only hope for us.
